About Us
St. Paul's United Church believes that God calls peoples of all races, ethnicities, abilities, orientations and gender to ministry.
The congregation of St. Paul's United Church is a community of all ages and stages of life, with different and unique gifts. We have a ministry of hospitality. We find God with one another, sharing stories and struggles over the kitchen sink or a pot of tea. Our faith is lived in action and in loving deeds. We are people on a journey that is never finished. Our doors are open and welcoming to all.

My name is Susan Gay Tilleman. I am a diaconal minister who graduated from "The Center of Christian Studies" in the year 2000. Being a diaconal minister simply means that my education happened in a different way than that of an ordained minister. My most fond gifts, skills and interests lie in worship and pastoral care.
I reside in the Anola/Oakbank area on 5 acres with my husband and 2 dogs, Proxy and Ella (German Shorthaired Pointers). I have 3 adult married children; Charlene (Corey), Curtis (Tiffany), Carrie (Patrick). My 6 grand children live in the Roblin area. They are from the ages of 7-16. I also have a grandbaby "Maine Coon Cat" that is 35lbs.
My life and my call is not only to Diaconal ministry within congregations, but to the nurture of all life that surrounds us. I love my garden, pets, family life and church. It is with love and compassion that I offer my gifts, skills and listening ears in team ministry with St. Paul's United Church.
St. Paul's Board meets 10 times a year, taking the summer months of July and August off. We have a active board of 11 members. If you have an interest in joining the board, please talk to any members of the board.
We are an active congregation with many things always happening within our church walls. We have movie afternoons, craft days, an annual garage sale, special presenters and so much more.
We have a unique relationship with the local theatre group, Haystack. They hold two productions in the Church each year. Many other groups use our building as well.
Our services are always thought provoking, scripture based and filled with music.
Children are welcome, all year long. The children start out with their families in the service at 10 am and after a story time with the minister, we head upstairs to explore the scripture theme of the week through crafts, games and stories.
